Sting Test Drive Edtech is the training program to test and develop your business idea related to education and learning. During four evening workshops, Sting Test Drive Edtech gives you the tools to evaluate your business idea, test and develop your business model and get inspiration to get going – free of charge!
What is Sting Test Drive Edtech?
The focus of this Test Drive is to give you insights on the complex markets of education and learning. The program consists of four evening workshops and is based on “Lean Canvas”, a graphical strategy tool to develop business models.
Theory is mixed with practice, and experienced edtech entrepreneurs and experts inspire and help you forward. Throughout the program you develop and evaluate your business model, and test it with potential customers, which will help you decide whether to go for your idea or not. At the last workshop, you get the opportunity to pitch your business idea to an exclusive panel of experienced edtech investors and experts and a network that you can greatly benefit from in the future.
Who can apply
We are looking for innovators, entrepreneurs and researchers with new ground-breaking ideas related to education and learning, with potential to address an international market. We prefer that the team consists of 2-3 people, with both women and men on the team. Applicants from all of Sweden are welcome, but you need to be able to join all four workshops in Stockholm. Up to twelve ideas will be selected to participate.

8/10 Introduction. Challenges for startups. Lean Startups and Lean
Canvas. The edtech market.
22/10 Getting Customers. Sales strategy and techniques. Product
market fit. Value proposition and Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
5/11 How to earn money? Revenue models. Budgeting and finding financing. How to pitch your idea to investors? Building a winning team.
19/11 Grand Finale. Pitch your idea to an exclusive jury.

Karin Ruiz is a business coach at Sting, focusing on startups within Sustainability, Edtech and Health. She has over 20 years of experience from international business development and senior management positions in a broad range of businesses, from small growth companies to large multinational corporations, including Peepoople, QuizRR, Capio, ISA and Tetra Pak. Jannie Jeppesen is CEO of the Swedish Edtech Industry. Digitization and learning has been a common thread for Jannie, both as a teacher, principal and consultant in digital skills and digitalization of education.
