Spontano winner of 100 000 SEK in Klarna’s Tillväxtjakten


On May 21 at the Nordic eCommerce Summit in Stockholm, Spontano was announced the winner of this year’s Tillväxtjakten, a competition founded by Klarna which aims to highlight innovative business ideas in e-commerce and tech and give entrepreneurs more opportunities to carry out their ideas.
Spontano is a company that helps consumers to find and buy tickets for events happening within 48 hours.
− We are proud, happy and stoked to continue to make Stockholm, and then the world, more spontaneous! Apart from the great honor, this award will make it possible for us to run even faster, with even a little bigger smile on our faces, says Ludwig Linse, CEO at Spontano.
This year’s jury consisted of Tictails CTO and co-founder Siavash Ghorbani; Jessica Stark, founder and CEO of SUP46, and Klarna’s President Sebastian Siemiatkowski. After a very tough and exciting final round where four finalists had been nominated, it was clear that Spontano was the winner of the Emerging Raiders in 2014 with the following motivation:

They solve a problem for the organizers who gets sold out events and for active people that demand quality and want to try something new during the few spare moments. Spontano will now benefit from the first prize, which consists of a prize pool of 100 000 SEK to develop the idea, training from the Nordic eCommerce Knowledge to a value of about 45 000 SEK, and mentoring by experts in e-commerce from Klarna and SUP46.
