Now it is possible to see a specialist doctor online, without a referral, directly through MedicCheck. Six out of ten Swedes with a chronic disease have medical issues that they never follow up. Either they don’t find the right way or they run out of steam due to long waiting lists. This is what MediCheck change.

At MediCheck, people with a medical need can see a specialist doctor – without the need for referral. You can choose a specialist based on, among other things, native language, gender and experience. You decide what you want and can meet with the same specialist again next time if you are satisfied.

– It is important to be able to decide for yourself for it to feel right. This creates a sense of security and continuity for being able to get the best help, says Thomas Ehrengren at MediCheck.

A meeting is conducted via video call or message. All doctors in the service are specialists, which allows people with chronic diseases to find the right expertise. Today, close to 200 specialists are affiliated with MediCheck.

– It’s a given that people with chronic illnesses should be able to get more help, and it is possible with today’s technology. We are delighted that so many specialists wanted to join the service. Now it is possible for any person to make contact with a medical specialist, based on their own needs and without geographical limitations, says Thomas Ehrengren.
