Entrepreneurs, Richard Båge, known from Draknästet and founder of Media Planet, and Rustan Pandy, founder of Planet Media and Chairman of Storytel, invests in Stockholm based STING-company Light Flex Technology that makes clothing that glows in the dark.

By integrating intelligent lighting in clothing and helmets, Light Flex Technology wants individuals and road workers to feel safer when moving through traffic when dark. Exercisers, for example, can be detected earlier on a curvy road with the new technology. The investment will mainly go to continued product development and to establish large-scale production and develop customer partnerships.

The business concept is based on an intelligent lighting technology that can be integrated into clothing and other products. Unlike a reflex, road workers and night workers can now light up without there being a third light source i.e. they can be seen through active, intelligent light instead of passive light. The technology is patented and can easily be adapted to different needs.

– We are very pleased that we will get a great network and deep strategic knowledge in addition to taking in capital. Richard and Rustan are good entrepreneurs with tremendous experience in building and growing companies and they are also fun people to have on board, says Victoria Bäcksin, CEO of Light Flex Technology.

– Light Flex is a company of our time, we firmly believe that the company’s unique advanced lighting technology will be standard in everything from workwear to textiles for active people, we look forward to this journey together with the entrepreneurs, says Richard Båge, investors in Light Flex.

Light Flex already has global clients such as POC, which they won the “Outside Gear of the Show” with in Las Vegas at the Interbike International Expo in October 2015.
