Impactpool recognized for contribution to UN’s gender parity strategy
United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has launched a new System-wide Strategy on Gender Parity. Impactpool’s methodology for sourcing, outreach as well as our effective execution of the Senior Women Talent Pipeline have all been recognized in the strategy as Best Practice.
“The UN Secretary-General highlighting Impactpool in the UN’s new gender parity strategy, is a great quality stamp on our work. It shows that we are an important influencer for organizations that want to increase gender equality and diversity when recruiting”, says Henrik Rydén, co-founder of Impactpool.
“Part of Impactpool’s success is that our global talent pool consists largely of qualified female candidates, which makes it attractive for recruiters who want to achieve the global goal of gender equality,” says Henrik Rydén.
Impactpool’s study of career development within the UN system has also received a lot of attention. The study, downloaded over 10,000 times, is also referenced in UN’s Strategy on Gender Parity.
“A disappointing conclusion from our study is that women so far have had difficulties to advance to higher positions within the UN system. Our hope is that Impactpool’s talent sourcing model and the UN’s gender equality strategy will provide for improved opportunities for women to compete on equal terms with men both in terms of type of assignment and remuneration, “says Henrik Rydén.
Impactpool is a global career platform for people, companies and organizations that want to work for a humanitarian and sustainable world. Impactpool was founded in 2015 by Magnus Bucht, Henrik Rydén and Jon Olsson. In less than two years, Impactpool has attracted more than 230,000 members from 195 countries and has become an important recruiting partner for influential international organizations, such as UNICEF, UNHCR, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
