Opportunities to get involved and invest in Sting’s startups

Would you like to know more about Stockholm’s new innovative companies? There are a number of ways to learn about and get involved in the high-growth companies in Sting.

For private investors:

1)  Propel Capital

Sting has established an investment company, Propel Capital, which since fall 2014 invests in all companies accepted to the accelerator program Sting Accelerate and since fall 2016 also can invest in companies in Sting Incubate. Sting Accelerate companies are guaranteed an investment of SEK 300,000 and companies accepted to the Sting Incubate program can get an investment of up to SEK 500,000. The capital in Propel comes from about 40 reputable business angels that have come together to invest in early stage startups accepted to Sting.

The business angels in Propel Capital are themselves entrepreneurs with expertise in different industries. They can make their own direct investments and engage deeper in the companies where they can make a difference, both through their own skills and through their network.

Opportunities for venture capital companies:

Would your venture capital company like to get to know Sting’s entrepreneurs and their innovative companies better? Then you have the opportunity to request a meeting where a handful of selected Sting companies pitch and you have plenty of time to ask questions and discuss business concepts without other venture capitalists present. Please contact Maria Ljungberg, responsible for investor networks at Sting, maria.ljungberg@sting.co.

Events where you can meet our startups

> Sting Day, Sweden’s largest networking event for entrepreneurs, investors and industry is held at the start of May each year. 50+ Sting startups and other startups exhibit and pitch. Sting Day was held for the first time in 2010 and has since grown to become a must-attend event for both Swedish and international players. You can read more about Sting Day here.

> Sting Demo Day is held twice a year when about 12 Sting companies are getting ready to leave Sting. The companies pitch and present their progress for an audience of venture capitalists and business angels.
