CE Check is one of ten Scandinavian startups that have been hand-picked to attend the Nordic Innovation House’s TINC accelerator program in Silicon Valley this May.
Founder and CEO Tobias Rydell and CTO Max Strålin attended the kickoff in Oslo in March and will be travelling to Silicon Valley at the end of April.
The TINC four-week program will include workshops and mentoring focused on each startup’s particular needs. Participants will also meet potential customers and investors. The program features notable mentors such as Julie Hanna, who was appointed by President Obama as Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship, and Nathan Gold who coaches speakers for high-profile events such as TED talks.
“CE Check is one of the most promising RegTech startups in Scandinavia, with a high potential and a global scalable business model. The company is in the right phase for the program, since they already have traction on their local market and is now looking to scale up globally. We’re happy to have them in the program!” says Rickard Mosell, Vinnova/Wallenberg Fellow at Nordic Innovation House.
The company hopes to learn more about the US market and the current level of experience of CE marking in the US. US companies selling certain products in the EU must CE mark their goods, and so are potential users of the CE Check service. The company already count one US and one Canadian company among the over 1,000 customers that have used the service since its launch in April 2018. CE Check are also looking into developing their service to accommodate US certification marks such as the FCC label.
“We are very excited to be travelling to Silicon Valley to work and learn with such impressive mentors. The workshops and opportunities to meet potential investors and customers are particularly important for us, and we look forward to a month of insights, challenges and building relationships,” says Tobias Rydell, founder and CEO of CE Check.
