Klarna has together with DanAds launched a new service for online merchants with ad-tech company Match2One’s ad platform as the foundation. The service helps e-merchants with online marketing and integrated ad buy in their stores in a smarter and more cost-effective way.
The concept will initially launch to over 1 500 customers of the e-commerce platform Wikinggruppen with the aim to help e-merchants to grow their businesses. The concept is planned to be scaled up to all of Klarna’s “Native Partners” globally.
Match2One’s ad platform is based on self-learning algorithms that display customized display ads to the right audience, at the right time, in the right context. The algorithms work like an autopilot, which automatically improves the investment and makes all the optimization work for e-retailers. Inside the platform is the best advertising opportunities to increase store sales, partly by identifying new customers and partly through reactivation of previous visitors, called retargeting. It can itself create great-looking ads directly in the platform.
Through the programmatic ad platform, e-retailers get access to 100 000’s of publishers worldwide, ranging from Facebook, LinkedIn and Spotify to Expressen, Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Industri.
– The partnership is an important step in Match2One’s vision to help small and medium-sized advertisers to grow with the help of programmatic advertising. In Sweden, there is still a very small part (less than 20 percent) of all online advertising that’s done programmatically, and we want to change that, says Michael Krueger, CEO of Match2One.
The ad platform is launched in collaboration with Klarna’s so-called Native Partners; the e-commerce providers for which Klarna Checkout is an integral part of the platform. First out is Wikinggruppen with over 1 500 affiliated e-commerce stores.
– We have had a dialogue with Klarna over the past year to create an understanding of how we can make life easier for their e-commerce customers. Now we are launching an ad platform based on Match2One’s self-service technology, says Peo Persson, co-founder and CPO of DanAds.
Klarna is planning to make the marketplace available to more merchants and partners in Sweden, Scandinavia and worldwide.
