Award bonanza for Light Flex

During the first half of February, Light Flex has received two important recognitions for their printed active light technology. The patented Light-Flex technology is extremely lightweight, thin, durable and washable. It can be integrated into soft or hard wearable, as well as printed in any shape or pattern.

#1 Light-Flex technology used in Helly Hansen’s Expedition Parka, the winner of the ISPO Award in the Outdoor Segment

ISPO is the premier global sports trade show network for products, brands and trends in the sporting industry. The Expedition Parka is Helly Hansen’s latest offering designed to withstand the ice-cold conditions of winter expeditions in polar or high altitude regions. The Light-Flex active light technology panels integrated into the jacket’s arms provide an extra dimension of safety – making the wearer visible even in the absence of an external light.

The partnership between Helly Hansen (Norway) and Light-FlexTM (Sweden) began in 2015 and has resulted in not only the Expedition Parka, but also Workwear and Kids winter parkas and snowsuits – all featuring Light-Flex active light safety.

– Light-Flex technology is a great addition to the safety features designed into Helly Hansen products, and it is totally aligned with the approach we want to take in offering the best safety technology possible in the gear we offer, says Richard Collier, Chief Product Officer at Helly Hansen.

#2 Light Flex winner in Safety & Security category in the Innovation World Cup 2017
