The Stockholm-based startup company Aifloo has announced that they closed an oversubscribed second funding round within a day with a consortium of investors.
Aifloo develop self-learning artificial intelligence for the Internet of Things. Aifloo SmartCare provides elderly and disabled people independence and security through the world’s first and only self-learning smart healthcare system.
– This feels absolutely amazing. We have noticed a great interest in the company and unfortunately have had to say no to a number of investors. The significant capital injection is obviously important, but the know-how and network of the investor group are just as important. Now we are in a position where we can focus and accelerate the pace to finalize the technology platform, says Aifloos CEO Michael Collaros.
Currently, six people are working in the company but additional recruitments are now planned.
Close to 20 percent of the people in the Western world are 65 or older, and the number continues to grow. The increasing need for support presents major challenges for the society. Aifloo develops a non-intrusive e-health system, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which increases security at home.
