For the sixth consecutive year, STING (Stockholm Innovation & Growth) is organizing STING Day; the most important meeting place of the year for the new generation of Swedish tech companies. On the 7th of May, 65 of Sweden’s hottest startups in the technology sector will gather with more than 120 investors from over 60 European venture capital firms, including a large number of industry profiles in Stockholm. During half a day, the companies will pitch to Europe’s leading venture capital firms, business angels and industry players.

“Last year, Stockholm was ranked as the world’s second fastest growing market for venture capital investments in technology. Additionally, Stockholm now has the most billion-dollar startups in Europe, and the second most in the world per capita, after Silicon Valley, reports Atomico. There is no question that Stockholm is the startup capital of Europe,” says Pär Hedberg, CEO and founder of STING.

“No other event in Sweden has managed to gather so much venture capital in the same room. The international interest is bigger than ever, with investors attending from 11 countries. Here, they can personally acquainted with the startups and see the reasons behind why Stockholm ranks so high in innovation and entrepreneurship.”
