STING Day record: 20 billion Euro in the same room when entrepreneurs meet investors 8 May

410

On the 8th of May, 70 of Sweden’s hottest startups in the technology sector gather with more than 100 investors and a large number of industry profiles in Stockholm. For the fifth consecutive year, STING (Stockholm Innovation & Growth) is organizing STING Day; the most important meeting place of the year for the new generation of Swedish tech companies. During half a day, the companies present themselves and pitch to the majority of the leading European venture capital firms and business angels.

“No other event in Sweden has managed to gather so much venture capital in the same room. This year we have 120 investors who have in excess of 20 billion Euro under management, capital that the Swedish startups have a chance to have a part of,” says Pär Hedberg, CEO and founder of STING. “The international interest is bigger than ever, with investors attending from 11 countries. Here they get to meet the startups and see the reasons behind why Stockholm ranks the highest in the world in innovation and entrepreneurship.”
