Ludvig and Oskar Linse are brothers and founders of the STING FastForward startup Spontano. We sat down with them both to hear more about their experiences the past few months.

  1. What is Spontano all about?

Spontano loves spontaneity and has the vision to make Stockholm more spontaneous. Through Spontano, people are served events happening within 48 hours and buys tickets with just a few taps on their mobile devices. It’s also a smart platform for event organisers, who get a unique channel to reach out with unsold tickets and access new target audiences.

  1. Why did you apply to the FastForward program?

We launched our first version of Spontano in December 2013, had some initial traction and had started receiving feedback from real users. When we first heard of FastForward, it seemed like a perfect match since we had some initial traction but needed to find the perfect market-fit and then accelerate out on the market – exactly what the program was about!

  1. What about financing – have you raised any money yet?

We have received soft funding from ALMI and won a few start-up competition – most recently Klarna Growth Award (100,000 SEK) but no private equity so far! Bootstrapping is a way of life.

  1. What do you think about the structure of the program?

It’s well-structured but still adapted to your company’s individual needs. Weekly roll-calls and coach meetings are mixed with lunches and events with key people in the industry. The structure never feels forced (except for filling in the weekly reports which we only succeeded with once during the program). You quickly realize that taking the opportunities presented to us most often brings great results and contacts. And hopefully money – eventually.

  1. What will be the single most important take-away from these four months?

To keep challenge and question ourselves on what we spend our time doing.

  1. What’s next for Spontano, after FastForward?

We will continue to work hard securing a stable position in Stockholm, grow the team, take in external capital and expand internationally!
