When the 2014 Startup List was published today in its entirety, 9 STING companies can be found on Internetworld’s ranking of Sweden’s 24 hottest digital startups. The listed STING companies are Peppy Pals (3), Unomaly (8), Qasa (11), RelationDesk (12), Watty (13), Apprl (14), Codarica (15), RevRise (21) och rêve (22).

In third place we find Rosie Linder, founder and CEO of Peppy Pals, who creates games with the ambition to develop emotional intelligence in its young users. Peppy Pals Empathy Adventures is the company’s first game, and is aimed at children 2-6 years. The game has been released for Android, iOS and Amazon, and has already received a lot of attention and positive reactions both in the media and among parents and preschool staff.

− It’s great to be on the list! The more people who hear about Peppy Pals, the greater the chance that the importance of practicing emotional intelligence is raised in homes and schools. Now we are working on finishing the next game, launch e-books and traditional books through the publisher Natur & Kultur, while at the same time working to market Peppy Pals internationally.

Qasa, which took the eleventh spot, was founded as recently as last spring, and is a digital platform for subletting of homes and guarantees a safer and more personalized process for both home seekers and providers.

− We’re super happy to already be on the list! We launched our beta just a few weeks ago and are working really hard. Hopefully, we can reach out and get the chance to help more people now, says Mattia Tosti, CEO and co-founder of Qasa.

For the ninth year in a row Internetworld ranks Sweden’s hottest digital entrepreneurs. The jury has processed approximately 200 nominations, and received suggestions and comments from several of Sweden’s most prominent business incubators, universities, investors and venture capital firms. Companies on the list may not have been on previous years’ lists, they must be in the startup phase, and are using the web in an innovative way.
